Welcome to The Boardroom and Stage.
If you came here looking for insider gossip, leaked industry secrets, or the latest emotional fallout from social media, you have knocked on the wrong door. I don't work in the corporate offices in Bangkok, and I have no secret insider access to what goes on behind closed doors.
What I do have is a background in theatre and film training, a habit of looking at the world through a logical lens, and the massive advantage of navigating this industry entirely outside the frantic echo chambers of mainstream social media.
I also bring a very specific, personal type of rehearsal room experience to my deductions. For four years, I did ballroom and Latin dancing. While competitive dance has nothing to do with the BL genre on the surface, it has everything to do with understanding the realities of a fixed partnership. I know exactly what it is like to spend grueling hours in a studio with the same person, day in and day out, trusting them to quite literally catch you and not drop you on your head if you fall.
It builds a unique, intensely close relationship that isn't romantic. Instead, it’s a strange amalgamation of having absolutely no personal space, finding things hilariously funny that no one else understands, and—yes—eventually going a bit insane together when you have practiced something twenty-seven times and are somehow still getting it wrong.
This space is a quiet sanctuary designed to look at the Thai BL industry through that exact framework: the reality of business strategy, production logistics, and professional partnership mechanics.
Every article, timeline, and breakdown you read here consists entirely of my own independent opinions. They are logical deductions based on observable patterns, corporate project management, and established theatrical rules. Because they are deductions, they aren't gospel—you are more than welcome to disagree, stress-test my theories, or bring your own logic to the table.
For too long, the global explosion of on-screen pairings has been treated purely as an emotional rollercoaster. But behind the curtain, a massive corporate machine is turning. Production logjams, shifting target demographics, environmental delays, and economic constraints dictate every single move we see on our screens.
This is a platform where text, craft, and business logic take center stage. No flashing ads, no algorithmic panic, and no toxic noise. It is an analytical autopsy of the art, the money, and the human cost behind the media we watch.
Take a seat, turn off the notifications, and let’s look at the machine.
